Citrine is a yellow variety of the quartz family and is closely related to Amethyst and Ametrine.

In actual fact, Ametrine is the combination of Amethyst and Citrine.

Citrine is commonly found in Brazil, parts of the US, Britain, Spain, France, Africa, Madagascar and the Soviet Union

All three share the same chemical composition and are varieties of quartz but with different colors.

In actual fact, Citrine can be created artificially by heating Amethyst and even Smoky Quartz.
